PERSONAL VIRTUAL EXHIBITION

Luca Battaglini is a Lombard artist capable of recreating extraordinary chromatic layers despite being colorblind. Despite his visual defect, the painter has gone further, acquiring an artistic ability of considerable depth and exceptional considering that he is self-taught. Gifted with an extraordinary sensitivity outside the lines, Luca Battaglini has in fact reached a high pictorial level in figurative representation. He has also tried his hand at abstract painting with serene chromatic results.
The author's iconography is quite broad and ranges from the representation of objects, human figures, comics and dance, to the most existentialist expression with the use of landscape production (such as in "The Silence of the Mountain"). The technique used is acrylic painting.
In detail, observing his works of art, two particular pivots can be identified in Luca Battaglini's visual research: on the one hand, a reality that is always dynamic and in "motion" (for example the work "Strike"), on the other, the luministic research and the effects of chiaroscuro. If we think about his visual limitations related to color blindness, it is surprising to observe how much perfection there is in the chromatic expression of his paintings and in the rendering of light. Note the sensitive execution of chiaroscuro in the painting entitled “The Boatman” in particular on the sleeve of the shirt or on the surface of the water, or in the work called “Dance Shoes” a high level of expressiveness of light is achieved. The artist has exhibited in Paris, Barcelona, at the Bellini Museum in Florence and at the Diocesan Museum in Mantua. He has also created illustrations for children's books.
